Lying is a punishable offense.

The tone you are picking up probably has more to do with my issues with mediocrity and people's unwillingness to fight for what is right, combined with my exasperation that all of this is coming out of my oldest daughter at the age of 10, rather than something more age-appropriate.

But I should expect that - you can't teach children values after they are old enough to understand all of the words you say. It's something they know by the age of 2 & 4 (two milestones I've read about), or they don't.Davidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02390644392286212021noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27132080.post-11262462136952256242007-11-13T18:32:00.000-05:002007-11-13T18:32:00.000-05:00She seems like a very very sweet girl, and intelli...She seems like a very very sweet girl, and intelligent to boot. I hope you praised her for the thought behind the fight (returning stolen candy) more than the fight itself though... the way some things are phrased, it almost sounds like you'd be equally happy if she kicked some 13 yr. old boy's ass to steal HIS candy!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27132080.post-36219001915445381252007-05-15T08:24:00.000-05:002007-05-15T08:24:00.000-05:00Well she wanted the DVD boxed set of Planet Earth ...Well she wanted the DVD boxed set of Planet Earth (BBC), but since she realized WiiPlay would be enjoyed by all of her siblings, she got that instead. Sweet girl.

She enjoys WiiPlay but not as much as her younger siblings. It's a very simple set of minigames.Davidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02390644392286212021noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27132080.post-55020114128424318432007-05-15T02:43:00.000-05:002007-05-15T02:43:00.000-05:00Great story.
